There are car mods, and then there’s the Flash Fire Jet Truck–a jet-powered Chevrolet built by Neal Darnell and his Team Chaos cohorts.
Flash Fire does 0-60 in just over one second, has a top speed of 375 miles per hour and a jaw-dropping 12,000 horses under its belt. This vehicle will definitely put some hair on your chest. During a regular performance, Flash Fire drops close to 60 gallons of fuel in a 10 minute stint.
The truck’s jet engine is made by Pratt & Whitney, which Darnell picked up on eBay. Originally it was used on a Navy T-2 Buckeye jet.
You can see the truck in action at the Oregon International Air Show or at many shows throughout North America.

As a tribute to the original "Masters Of Disaster" team, we proudly introduce the hottest air show act in years, The IMMORTALS!
Darnell Racing Enterprises, Inc. & Flash Fire Jet Trucks is proud to announce that we have acquired the World Famous SHOCKWAVE JET TRUCK! The baddest/most impressive jet ground vehicle on the planet!!! 3 times the smoke, 3 times the fire, 3 times the noise, and 3 times the horsepower! THREE afterburning J34-48 jet engines totaling 36,000 HP. SHOCKWAVE is the Guiness Book world record holder for the fastest jet truck in the world at 376 MPH.
It may look like chaos, but the two pilots and jet-truck driver who make up the Team Chaos show say it is scripted and safe. The team made its debut at EAA AirVenture 2011 earlier this week, with each of the three members performing solo acts as well. Randy Harris, who flies a Skybolt 300, Gary Ward flying his MX2, and Neal Darnell, of Flash Fire Jet Truck, make up the group and are sometimes joined by Darnell’s son, Chris, in the jet truck.
